Two Digital Hub companies have been shortlisted in the innovation awards, organised annually by the Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) in Silicon Valley.

Sentry Wireless and DecaWave travelled to California earlier this week to take part in the ITLG awards. Following a review of 12 companies at a series of workshops in Belfast last October, they were chosen – along with five other companies from Ireland – to travel to Silicon Valley for the event. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger mentioned both companies at a ceremony in Stanford University.

Sentry Wireless is a developer of firewalls for SIM cards, including a service that tackles text spam and cyber bullying. DecaWave is a semiconductor company, that produces wireless transceivers to support accurate ranging and high-speed communications.
