Five category winners in this year’s best in show competition will be announced at an event tomorrow in the Digital Exchange, Dublin 8.
Best in Show is a competition run by the Digital Hub Development Agency (DHDA) for final-year digital media students, who – earlier this year – were invited to submit samples of their work for assessment by a team of digital media experts.
Winning entries have now been chosen in five categories: Interior Design; Graphic Design; Animation; Film and Video Production, and Multimedia.
All category-winners will receive a two-week work placement in a company relevant to their field. In addition, the five category-winners go forward for an online public vote, and the winner of that will receive a prize of €1,000.
The best in show category-winners announced tomorrow will receive work placements in Design Squared (interior design); Kavaleer Productions (animation); Pixelsoup (multimedia); Red Diamond Media (film and video production), and Red Dog (graphic design). Samples of their work will be available to view on http://www.thedigitalhubexhibit.com/bestinshow, and the online public vote will run from tomorrow until next Monday, 21st June.
