It seems the onward march of online advertising continues with gusto. A new report by IPG’s Mediabrands’ Magna Global predicts online and digital media advertising will rise by over 12% in 2010 to $61 billion. The report also suggests global online advertising will rise by approximately 11% year-on-year through until 2015 when the sector will be worth $100 billion.
Search advertising continues as the strongest area of online advertising accounting for nearly half ($29.8 billion) of the full 2010 spend.
Display, email and video advertising accounts for the remaining $31.2 billion worldwide spend.
