One of the best-loved iPhone apps launched in the US was Kraft’s iFood Assistant. The food giant has now gone a step further and released an iPad app. Called ‘Big Fork, Little Fork’, the app is aimed at parents in their 20s and 30s with kids from six to 12.
Kraft did its research and found that there were 37 million web searches everyday in the US on ‘family and kids food’. The new app is available for $1.99 and Kraft is hoping the iPad will be a huge-seller among young US parents. “We have to take a leap of faith,” said Ed Kaczmarek of Kraft Foods. “If we waited around to have hard demographics and numbers, we wouldn’t be innovating. As we took the leap of faith with the iFood Assistant and iPhone, we’re taking that leap on the iPad.”
