ESB’s meter reading app

The ESB has launched a meter reading app, which is available from today. It’s the first energy provider app for both iPhone and Android smart phone users. In addition, this is the first app developed by an Irish utility for electricity meter reading submissions. Bord Gais already has an app that can read gas meters.
The new ESB app allows customers to submit their electricity meter reading via their smart phones. This can eliminate estimated bills and give people more control over their spend.
The app includes a section called ‘Property Details’, where customers can register multiple addresses, for example their own and their parents’. It can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Marketplace.
