The National Print and Projected Image Finals

The Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) National Print and Projected Image Finals, in association with Epson Ireland, will take place in The Douglas Hyde Theatre in Athlone on February 19th and 20th 2011.
Over the weekend both professional and amateur photographers from all over Ireland will compete in the finals, following the regional competitions.
Finalists will compete in three different categories in this year’s competition including ‘Colour Print’, ‘Monochrome Print’ and ‘Projected Image’, as well as for the prestigious award of ‘Best Overall Image’.
There will be 400 images on display from the 200 photographers at the event. Ciaran White FIPF (Fellow of The Irish Photographic Federation) will host a photography workshop which will cover basics such as camera flash, simple diffusion techniques and other advanced lighting techniques.
This year’s judging panel includes three renowned judges from Germany, Scotland, and England (Freddy Van Gilbergen, the director of distinctions for the International Federation of Photography, Rikki O’Neill, Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and Kevin Adlard, Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society) who will also give guest lectures throughout the weekend.
