First there were the newspaper columns, next the documentaries, then the movie and eventually the comic. What, you may ask, took someone so long to create a comic based on Mark Zuckerberg? He is, after all, the Lord of the Geeks.
Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook is the comic’s catchy title and it hits the shelves in the US this week, although the first issue is bound to be a much sought-after collector’s item.
Published by Bluewater Productions, written by journalist Jerome Maida and illustrated by Sal Field, the 48-page comic treats Zuckerberg with a “factual reverence”.
“This is a fantastic story,” gushed. Maida. “I enjoyed researching it because it’s extremely compelling. Think about it. Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire on the planet and created something that has already had a profound impact on the world. Yet hardly anyone knows much about him. It’s amazing.”
Bluewater says the animated film is now on the way. For some reason I can’t help thinking it’ll be a cross between Scooby Doo and Inspector Gadget.
