Remember the days when Microsoft ruled the software world and Starbucks was just a small coffee house in Seattle? How far we have all come as we move towards Web 3.0, and it’s hard to imagine a web without great free software. This week (a year ago) Google launched the Google Apps Marketplace. This is not to be confused with the Android Market or the Chrome Web Store, the Google Apps Marketplace offers a range of tools for small and large businesses, everything from email right through to invoicing and CRM solutions.
“Beyond single sign-on and quick access through our universal navigation bar, our best Marketplace apps synchronise data and offer integrated features designed to keep you and your users productive as you move closer to 100% web,” said Google in its blog. The little video below gives a hint of what’s to come.
