The winners of the Sony Production Awards 2010 have been announced. The awards were open to both broadcast professionals and students and entries had to be short films of up to three minutes based around the theme of ‘fusion’.The winning entry in the professional category was Steffen Zelmanski from Germany for his short animation film titled Life INfusion. It’s a clay animation film exploring the influences seemingly small occurrences can have.
Thomas Storms from Belgium was the student winner for his short film Robots. The people’s choice award went to Anthony Johnson from the UK for his film Fusion of Love – a film inspired by one man’s dual-passions for football and his wife.
This is the second year Sony has run the PROduction Awards. “Sony is dedicated to supporting film makers. Working with and understanding the industry we can ensure that Sony continues to deliver solutions that help them to create fresh and exciting work,” said Olivier Bovis from Sony Professional.
Along with all the glory, the winners will receive Live-action experience with the Sony Professional team, and an all expenses paid trip to the NAB Show 2011 in Las Vegas.
