Competition within Ireland’s crowded mobile network space has just intensified with Just Mobile’s latest announcement. The fledgling mobile network is offering free calls & texts any time of day to its customers to any Irish mobile or landline and all for a monthly top up of €18.The offer only lasts until the end of June 2011. However, Donal Lawless, managing director, took the opportunity to have a swipe at his competitors by alluding to the enormous bonuses enjoyed by directors of other Irish networks. “While Just Mobile is offering free calls to four million people our competitors are offering bonuses and incentives to management of up to €4million – a fact which could strike a chord with the 1,000 mobile users who switch network provider every day.”
Just has also announced a deal with the forecourt brand Topaz – its mobile products will be available in all of Topaz’s 109 stations in Ireland increasing the number of retail outlets offering its products to almost 800 outlets in over 500 towns.
