Corona Extra and MTV have launched a new Facebook contest at European level. The premise is simple, a kind of ‘Jim’ll fix it’ for the digital age.
The winner will be given the opportunity to make a dream come true. An “extraordinary experience” will become reality, and that experience will be recorded and broadcasted on MTV.
The concept – “Experience the Extraordinary” – is getting the full ‘social treatment’ and participants will have to have a solid understanding of the various social channels if they’re to be in with a chance.
Only people from Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Denmark and Austria can participate in the contest through an application integrated on the Corona Facebook page, where online users can explain the “extraordinary experience” that they would like. Brevity is vital as only 100 characters are required.
From all the proposed experiences, 10 will go to the final, and one will be a winner. There are two ways to the final: being the most voted by the fans and being selected by the jury.
In order to persuade Facebook users, the participants should add to their experiences as much written and visual information as possible, to explain the reasons why they present their proposals. On the other hand, they should use all the tools available to promote and make ‘viral’ their experience.
The 10 finalists will win a trip to Ibiza with accommodation included. The winner will indulge in a real extraordinary experience that will be filmed and broadcasted by MTV.
