DoneDeal launches iPhone & iPad app

DoneDeal has just launched a free iOS app. The app is compatible with the iPhone and iPad with future plans to launch an Android app.

Features of the app include:
-Search adverts by keyword.
-Browse adverts by section.
-Call & email sellers from within the app.
-Save favourites for viewing later.
-Share adverts via Twitter and email.
-View images with pinch and zoom.
-Filter ads by location, section and price.

Fred Karlsson, co-founder of DoneDeal, said, “The app launch comes at a very exciting time for DoneDeal. In the past year alone the sale of over €2 billion worth of goods has been facilitated by the site. The need for an iPhone app is an indicator of how well the site is doing.”
DoneDeal now has almost 150,000 adverts active on the site at any one time and 75,000 new items advertised on the site each month. The company recently announced that it had surpassed 2 million unique visitors to the website in March. The cash amount for items sold on the website in March 2011 alone came to a total of over €76 million.
