The 7th Dublin Web Summit, #dws7, will focus on the Chinese and Indian digital entrepreneurs currently making waves around the world.
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, alongside Paddy Cosgrave, organiser of the Dublin Web Summit, announced some of the initial speakers that have agreed to attend. These include Richard Liu, Chairman and CEO of 360Buy.com, known in the West as ‘the Amazon of China’. It is the largest ecommerce website in China, valued at over $10 billion.
Liu will be joined by 150 of the world’s top technology entrepreneurs, CEOs and investors who are also traveling to Ireland to attend a private event known as F.ounders.
“China and India are the largest and the most significant growth markets in the world for Irish companies and for the first time a select group of the most influential entrepreneurs and investors will touch down in Ireland. That they are coming to Ireland is significant in itself, but what is far more significant is the fact that some of them will engage the Irish business community at the Dublin Web Summit,” says Cosgrave.
Cosgrave also confirmed there will be over 70 speakers at October’s Dublin Web Summit, including many of Ireland’s most successful entrepreneurs, investors and business people. “We will be announcing our first speakers over the coming weeks.” Ticket prices will also be announced at a later date.
