Irish app developer, Smart Apps has just launched ‘Irish Taxi App 2.0’ following the success of the Irish Taxi App launched a year ago.
The App makes taxi services and fares more transparent for users and gives taxi companies a mobile advertising platform.
Tautas Jazbutis, Smart Apps founder, says the updated app includes a number of “cost effective” marketing tools for taxi companies. “This latest edition offers more value for our users with the introduction of taxi deals. All of our taxi deals and offers are fully localised, meaning they are displayed only in areas where they apply or a taxi company operates in,” says Jazbutis.
In the year since its launch, the app has been downloaded 30,000 times and has been used over 200,000 times. Over 600 taxi companies and drivers are listed.
10.3 billion apps have been sold around the world in the last three years. In-app advertising by small firms and sole traders is also becoming more popular.
