The acquisition will allow DRG to drive business in the US, while continuing to build its presence in Ireland and Europe.
In order to support expansion into the US market, the deal is expected to create 20 new jobs in Ireland, adding to the 16 existing employees in DRG’s Dublin offices.
DRG shareholders include the founders and management team, Pageant Holdings and Enterprise Ireland. Take 5 is backed by New York-based private equity firm Kinderhook Industries. DRG CEO, Colm Grealy, joins the board of directors of Take 5.
DRG plans to sell a range of mobile services in the US including apps, mobile websites, location-based services, mobile couponing, QR codes and mobile strategies.
Clients of DRG in Ireland include RTÉ, BBC and Communicorp. From its new Florida offices DRG will have access to over 30 sales people who currently work with some of America’s Fortune 500 companies, including Disney, Citibank, Procter & Gamble and various insurance firms.
