DoneDeal has sold “just over 50 per cent” of its company to Norway’s Schibsted Media Group. No price was revealed, however, Schibsted now has a majority shareholding in an Irish firm with revenues of slightly more than €3 million in the fiscal year that ended 30 April, 2011. DoneDeal has seen a growth of 124 per cent year on year.

Nice numbers
Founded in 2005 by Fred and Geraldine Karlsson, the site has steadily grown and today claims over two million unique visitors every month. On average, 85,000 new items are advertised each month across its 119 classified sections.
