Fancy yourself a ‘real’ photographer and sneer at Instagram’s popularity? Do you know your DSLR from your SLR, your Densitometer from your Depth of Focus? Well, camera maker Canon has just announced the Canon EOS Adventure, a pan-European campaign for DSLR beginners to take their photography to the next level.
Participants and contestants should go to the EOS Adventure page on Yahoo! Here there are tutorial videos and advice put together by Canon’s professional team including brand photographer Adam Swords, wildlife photographer Jamie Crawford, creator of German photo magazine KWERFELDEIN Martin Gommel and botanical photographer Rachel Warne.
Once you’ve learned a few tricks you can showcase your own best results to the public via galleries on Yahoo! and Flickr.
The best photos will be entered into a competition to win a trip to Kenya, and the winner will bag a photography adventure with Canon’s wildlife photography experts, Jonathan and Angela Scott, ‘The Big Cat People’.
The competition is open for entries from Monday 26th September 2011 until Sunday 20th November 2011.
