The issue of personal privacy in the digital age is a topic many people feel strongly about, including contemporary artists.
As part of Dublin Contemporary’s ‘The Office of Non-Compliance’, artist Conor McGarrigle, Julianne Pierce from Blast Theory and Victoria Tillotson from iShed will discuss the role of artists, designers and activists in creating non-compliance in today’s digital world.
Is privacy a concept no longer relevant in our digital world where pervasive digital devices enable tracking, surveillance and recording of almost all aspects of our lives?
Living With the Panopticon asks how technology might be contested, shaped and reinvented in ways that enhance our everyday lives.

The event will take place on Thursday, 13th October, 2011 at 7 pm in Dublin Contemporary, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2.
