As any seasoned digital media watcher knows, one of Facebook’s main ambitions is to become the largest online market place in the world. It has opened its platform to retailers of all kinds and there are plenty of companies busy creating solutions for those who want ‘Facebook shops’. One of the latest, Ondango, has caught our eye.
Ondango allows businesses to launch a social commerce and ecommerce platform on Facebook. Merchants can sell their stuff from their Facebook page and Ondango aims to make it easy for them to do so. It’s also easy for shoppers to share their purchases with their peers. Importantly, Ondango doesn’t share any of the purchase information with Facebook itself.
Ondango charges retailers a monthly fee as well as a minor transaction fee. There are three different price plans depending on the size of the shop. There’s also a 30-day free trial for new users.
