Software development firm Misys will establish a new R&D team in Dublin, creating 35 new jobs. Misys is a developer of software solutions for the financial services industry.
The company already employs over 100 people in Dublin at its two software development centres; Misys International Banking Systems Limited and Sophis Technology (Ireland) Limited. A dedicated R&D team of 25 people means creating high value positions for software engineers. In addition 10 software consultancy roles will also be created. The roles will be for skilled software engineers with a degree and/or masters in computer science.
“Our previous ventures into Ireland have been as a result of acquisitions of existing software companies and so this new Research and Development Operation marks an important milestone in the company’s business links to this country,” says Robin Crewe, chief technology officer, Misys.
This new investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
