As he gears up to fight another Presidential election, President Obama is getting back on the social media train. In what can only be described as a major coup for Google, the President will take part in a hangout video chat on Google+ on January 30.
President Obama is famously the ‘first social media president’ in that he used social media to help him win his first election. Obama and his team already utilise Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram and now he will hangout with up to nine other Google+ users on January 30 to answer questions about policy and the direction the US is taking economically and socially.
Google must be smiling. This is the kind of PR for Google+ that money simply cannot buy.
