A new cloud-based (SaaS) digital software company based at NovaUCD, says it has developed an easy to use, video creation and editing tool for SMEs and marketers.VideoCrisp, to be launched in March, aims to allow users to easily and cost effectively create, upload, edit and share their videos.
The service is aimed primarily at start-ups and SMEs and allows users to create new videos or edit existing videos and to embed templates, music, bullet points, photographs, additional video clips, with just a few clicks and without the need of complex and expensive video editing software.
The company was founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Abhinav Chugh. He previously established Waybiz.com, an Enterprise Ireland funded B2B trust portal, in 2010. VideoCrisp is also a participant on the Enterprise Platform Programme at the Synergy Centre, Institute of Technology, Tallaght.
Video marketing is now a common tool for businesses and according to eMarketer (2012) online video advertising spending should jump 40% to $3.1 billion in 2012. In addition several studies have shown that a website with video content is over 50 times more likely to appear on Google’s first search page than a website with no video content.
YouTube recently announced that over 4 billion videos are viewed on its website every day, and 60 hours of new video content is uploaded every minute. Abhinav Chugh, CEO and founder said, “This new editing technique will empower end users with video editing capability on both web and mobile.”
VideoCrisp has to date raised €100,000 in early-stage funding, including €50,000 from Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Start Fund.
