The NDRC LaunchPad is calling for all interested professionals and entrepreneurs to attend its open day on November 28th.

NDRC LaunchPad is for aspiring entrepreneurs with ideas “capable of being brought to market and achieving a commercial return”.

The NDRC provides up to €20,000 per project in pre-seed investment to support the founders during the three month programme.

This is the ninth NDRC LaunchPad and the programme is particularly suited to professionals who have already progressed in their careers and are looking to “strike out on their own”.

“We have noticed that our programme is a good fit for tech professionals who are already on the ‘career ladder’ in a company but also have an idea that they wish to pursue,” says NDRC Launch director Gary Leyden.

“In other words, despite long hours spent in the office, a lot of professionals are spending time outside work using their technology skills on entrepreneurial projects. NDRC LaunchPad provides them with a route to take the leap and devote decent time to that entrepreneurial project.

“This is true not only of tech professionals but also others with an interest in working with other like-minded entrepreneurs. I encourage any interested entrepreneurial software developer, product manager, technology architects and e-commerce professionals to come along on November 28th to the NDRC LaunchPad Open Day in our offices on Crane Street (www.ndrc.ie/launchpad).”

NDRC LaunchPad 9 will be open for applications and interested parties have until December 13th to get their applications in. The programme will start in February 2014 following a shortlist of finalists being invited to pitch in the first week in January.
