An obvious consequence of all economic downturns has been the disruption of what were once seen as ‘traditional’ industries.
A very obvious consequence of this particular economic downturn is the disruption being experienced in Ireland’s media and marketing arena.
Driven in large by a fall off in advertising spend, the media market in Ireland is seeing many young, innovative ‘disrupters’ emerge to challenge the established leaders in fields as diverse as publishing, video production and advertising. What most are aiming to do is make it easier and less costly for businesses to interact with traditional media platforms.
One such start-up, Adfaces, is launching a one-click, self-serve outdoor advertising product for SMEs.
Traditionally the preserve of the big brands with big budgets, outdoor advertising is an effective and now affordable advertising medium.
“Until now, buying outdoor advertising has been a timely and complex process,” says Adfaces CEO and co-founder Nick Dimer.
Adfaces says it will offer outdoor advertising as low as €3.60 per day and allow advertisers to find the best advertising spots for their services.
Adfaces is established in Germany and has 30% of the German outdoor inventory. It will launch in Ireland with access to over 1,600 outdoor advertising panels.
You may attend the launch of Adfaces, a participant of this year’s StartupBootcamp Dublin, on May 9th, from 6pm at its Dublin offices at 35a Barrow Street.
