Dublin digital agency ebow has won the ‘Best in Industry’ award in the Museum category at the New Media Awards 2012 in New York for its work on TheModerns.ie.

TheModerns.ie website was launched to coincide with the exhibition “The Moderns” at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA).

The New Media Awards are run by New York’s New Media Institute (NMI) to celebrate best-practice in the use of new media across the world. Finalists are not selected based solely on design, but how well they are using technology to serve and communicate to their audience.

“TheModerns.ie is the creative highlight of my career, so I’m extremely proud that this work has been recognised by such a prestigious international organisation as the NMI. Credit has to go to my team who’ve now been very rightly recognised with two awards this year,” says David Douglas, founder and managing director of ebow.

The agency also won the Web Agency Of The Year award at the ICT Excellence Awards in May.
