2014 is Intel’s 25th anniversary in Ireland and to mark the occasion it has confirmed the progress of Intel’s $5 billion campus upgrade, the largest private investment in the history of the Irish State.

4,500 jobs exist at the Leixlip campus, while the upgrade has created 5,000 more indirect jobs in planning and construction.

The latest investment brings Intel’s overall capital investment to a total of $12.5 billion invested in Intel Ireland over the past 25 years.

“The combination of the pro-business environment which the Irish government has created together with this investment of $5 billion in Intel Ireland have resulted in the creation of a technology campus in Leixlip that is now readying itself to produce some of our most advanced products,” says Intel President Renée James.
