Javelin buys digital agency Brand Social

The Javelin Group has acquired Dublin-based digital agency Brand Social for an undisclosed sum.

Brand Social will become the digital marketing wing of Javelin’s business. Brand Social employees have moved to the Javelin Group offices in Smithfield, bringing the total employee headcount of the combined agency to 36.

Brand Social, established in 2009, works in digital and social media marketing. Its core service offering includes digital and social strategy, mobile advertising, digital creative services and programming. Universal Pictures, the Digital Marketing Institute, GreenLetterbox.com and the Irish Management Institute amongst its clients.

Javelin Group, founded in 1986, has a controlling stake in the new business. Its clients include Toyota, Bacardí, Irish Ferries, Davy Select, Focus Ireland, Arnotts, Betfair and BT (British Telecom) Ireland.
