Ireland’s largest game development studio, DIGIT Game Studios in Dublin, has announced an international recruitment drive and the creation of 40 new jobs.
DIGIT currently employs 20 people at its Dublin studio and wants to grow this number to 60. Founded in 2012 in Dublin, DIGIT develops some of the world’s most successful game franchises in browser, console, MMO, mobile and social games.
“Content is the richest source of value in this industry and we have an opportunity to create a lot of it,” says Richard Barnwell, founder and CEO, DIGIT Game Studios. “In addition to Kings of the Realm, we are scaling up our studio to launch an all-new title.”
The new jobs coincide with a multi-million euro investment by Los Angeles-based touchscreen entertainment network, Scopely.
“DIGIT has bold ambitions and its development approach to date is impressive. We believe it is emerging as a leader in mobile strategy games,” says Tim O’Brien, chief revenue officer, Scopely.
DIGIT Game Studios launched its first game, Kings of the Realm, in September 2014. Details about the new jobs and how to apply are available on the DIGIT website.
