Maximum Media, publishers of JOE and Her, is moving into live, social broadcasting.

The digital publisher has launched Maximum Studios to shoot and broadcast SportsJOE Live, to be broadcast on Facebook Live and Periscope at 9.30pm each Wednesday.

Sports personalities and commentators lined up for the new live show include Ronan O’Gara, Andy Reid, Stephen Ferris, Ashling Thompson, Paul Galvin, and Dion Fanning.

The producers say that the shows will be slightly anarchic, spontaneous, and humorous.

“Anything can happen, which is exactly what we all want,” says Paddy McKenna, broadcast director at Maximum Media.

“Our viewers will be crucial to the format of the show – both in the comments and interactions on social media and in the live studio audience.”
