According to a new report from Dagens IT, a Norwegian website, nearly 6.5 million encrypted LinkedIn passwords have been dumped onto a Russian hacker forum.
LinkedIn has reported via Twitter that its “Our team continues to investigate, but at this time, we’re still unable to confirm that any security breach has occurred. Stay tuned here.”
The professional social networking site reported in February that they had 150 million users so the dump affects less than 5% of users but I’d be sure to change my password just in case.
