The Appys, the awards ceremony recognising the best Irish and international apps, will take place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on November 29th.
Now in its third year, the event recognises app development and design in more than 20 different categories from business and sport to social media and food. Entries are open to anyone who has developed, or paid for the development of, a mobile app, a tablet app, a Facebook or other social media app or a cloud app.

As well as awarding apps developed for the main mobile operating systems like iOS, Android and Windows, the 2012 event will recognise some of the new platforms for app designers. “This year we are delving into the rich world of social media apps, Facebook apps and Cloud apps,” ays Edward Conmy, event organiser.
“The awards are going from strength to strength”, added fellow organiser Des Doris. “The pre-show technology arena will include the latest and greatest mobile devices; it’s a night not to miss for anyone interested in the mobile and app development industries.”
The media partners for the event are independent.ie and Communicorp Digital and current partners include Vodafone Ireland and Sony Experia Mobile.
