The winner of the June App of the Month competition is conjunction with Newstalk Breakfast is the ‘Joyceways’ app, developed by Big Top Multimedia.
The judge for last month’s competition, Tim Griffiths of OMD, said the app “combines both educational and tourism features”.
“What I liked in particular about JoyceWays was the way that the user experience was made very easy and accessible in bringing to life a novel that can be anything but. The app brings Joyce’s Dublin to life including small audio pieces based on different chapters in the book. The whole experience is fun and is great bite sized introduction to Ulysses and Joyce’s Dublin – beneficial to Dubliners and non-Dubliners alike,” says Griffiths.
The runners up were: The Tom Tom Speed Cameras app and the relationship saving The Man app.
