Pints, pitches and perhaps a party at Dublin's Lost Society

This coming Monday, that’s Monday April 30, sees the next installment of the über cool Dublin Beta gathering. For those who are interested, Dublin Beta is a must attend event for start-ups working in new technology and digital media, as well as those who have an interest in such things. It takes place at Dublin’s Lost Society, South William Street, from 6-9pm.
The event is based on the San Francisco model (SF Beta), which is Silicon Valley’s largest start-up mixer.
Dublin Beta isn’t a typical start-up pitch event, it’s more open-ended with a “pitches and pints, minus the PowerPoint” vibe going on.
Obviously there’ll be conversation, networking, and community building and twelve Irish start-ups will carry out informal demos of their products and services. Dublin Beta is free for start-ups who wish to demo.
This Beta will, for the first time in Ireland, also see three Irish start-ups actually launch their companies. Exciting stuff.

What type of people will attend?
Dublin Beta’s anticipated 300+ person audience consists of several key groups: • Founders and C-Level executives of emerging start-ups • PR, Marketing, and Business Development professionals • Digital media professionals working within brands and agencies • Investors, bloggers, and key influencers in the emerging technology ecosystem.
