Stripe is now open to 139 currencies

By: February 11, 2014

I was signing up to Stripe today when I noticed it can now accept online credit card payments in 135 new currencies.

Previously, Stripe, the online payments firm started by the Collison brothers, was only available to people who used U.S. and Canadian dollars, the euro and the British pound.

While Stripe is operational in 12 countries, it’s still in beta in eight of them, but opening up to most of the globe’s currencies shows its intention to become a global force, quickly.
