The Ivy Dawson Street will open its doors on Tuesday, 24 July, with reservation lines open from Tuesday, 3 July. Here is a look at the menu.
The Ivy Dawson Street is the first international brasserie from The Ivy Collection and is located at 13-17 Dawson Street, Dublin.
The brasserie-style restaurant and bar will accommodate up to 200 guests and feature an “all-encompassing menu” i.e. breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks and dinner.
The kitchen will serve food from “dawn until dusk”, with a selection of classics including shepherd’s pie, crispy duck salad and a chocolate bombe. Dungarvan oysters will also be available.
Cocktails will include a Cork Dry Sling, featuring a classic Raffles Hotel recipe Singapore Sling with Dingle gin, and The Leopold Bloom featuring Longueville House Irish Apple Brandy, Irish Mist liqueur and Cointreau.
There is also a private dining room named ‘The Jonathan Swift Room,’ seating up to 32 guests.
The Ivy Dawson Street’s artwork has been curated by The Ivy Collection’s art consultant, Adam Ellis. Pieces include topographical prints and plans of Dublin and Dublin Bay from 1850, as well as artwork inspired by Ireland and Dublin, and pieces depicting music, Trinity College, horse racing and brewing.
The critically-acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio has consulted on the restaurant’s interior design. Notable features include floor-to-ceiling glass windows, pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet panel flooring and leather banquettes. Green foliage will be displayed throughout the brasserie alongside burnt orange soft leather furnishings and beautifully upholstered chairs.
